Dear Claude

I would like to say a HUGE thank you for entertaining our guests and for being part of our amazing day, we could not believe just how well everything went. After 25 years of being together I think we had the day that we could only dream of.

It was really worth sitting back and watching the reaction when you approached ,and not really knowing what was coming next!! I hope you enjoy doing what you do as much as the guests did because the feedback was unbelievable. It was wonderful seeing the most unlikely people interacting with you and at the same time you obviously have a very good instinct at who you can involve.

A sure sign of your professionalism was that you could stay calm, when ambushed by a hoard of enthusiastic hyped up children! They were still talking about it when we returned from holiday and treasuring their portraits!!

Spring 2011

BONJOUR! Come Dine With Me! Yes I was involved in a private party that used this theme. It worked splendidly and we danced a lot!

December 2010

Crealy Park. A christmas party with big slides and ball pools...for adults! Claude Amused by hanging the coats up in his own silly way, plus serving food was a comic disaster, just how many parsnips per person do you serve? The Lobster, stack of cups, Accordion and the artist gags all appeared and the dressing up box was loved by all, oh and the raffle prize was won by a lady who wouldn't stop laughing! Merry Christmas!

October 2010

The Express and Echo Teen awards night! With outstanding teenagers doing incredible things. The achievements were brilliant and well deserved. Claude helped to warm everyone up by serving the drinks in his own original style and the photos he took of his clients were fantastic (even though they were all of himself, oh dear)

September 2010

Bournemouth. Wedding from heaven. A whole afternoon and evening of fun. Mingling with the caterers 'helping' them do their job was a lot of laughs but best of all was when 'Claude the Artist' turned up and tried to impress his audience with the worst pictures ever drawn, which they all got to keep of course!!

August 2010

Weddings! Goodness me everyone gets married in August! A few weddings enjoyed my antics of serving up their champagne and beers in my own silly way, leading people to their seats and over dusting them and their chairs down , feeding the guests like a choo choo train and pouring the wine to the brim. Also dressing people up with a mixture of hats, specs and moustaches at receptions went down exceptionally well and of course getting people up to the dance floor after the happy couple of course!!

July 2010

The Rame festival! Two days and 10 hours performance at the very bonkers and amazing cabaret night. Joining in with me for lots of fun was the filthy but talented Wilfredo and The Ladies of leisure but I had big big fun with a large heavy cardboard box containing a very special and magical present also I provided lots of dressing up, dancing, silly walking and my favourite; the pot of gel, which was very well greeted, especially by the bald men!

June 2010

Calstock Festival! What a great Cabaret Evening with poets and comedians and moi! Once I had sorted the broken deckchair out seating people in their seats was simple, well kind of. The raffle prize went down well , the stack of cups, the Lobster, the 'mobile' trim phone, the water pistol and lots of Improvisation was the name of the game. 'You were brilliant!' said Jan Mead the organiser - How kind she is!

May 2010

The Rock 'n' Roll circus was again marvellous fun! The new sellotape gag worked well, that will be a staple part of the act now. Also I had a very exicting time at Powderham Castle, dressing up and dancing with the dignitaries was fun but the fake baguette serving was my favourite moment. Catch me on Radio Devon on Saturday 15th May at 10am.

April 2010

I have to say, the PHAB convention had one of the most responsive audiences ever, they were up for anything! At dinner time they especially enjoyed some naughtiness with a pair of water pistols good job I had a cocktail umbrella to protect me. The evening was an explosion of laughter and chaos as tables in the bar areas became plastic cup coconut shies with me supplying the pin pong balls and standing the cups back up. What beautiful madness it all was!

March 2010

A Christmas party in March?! Indeed there was. A gaggle of lovely ladies threw a fantastic party and even wrapped up presents for a secret Santa and guess who he was...Claude of course, or to be more precise Santa Claude!

November 2009

Ah yes, I went back into the streets this month. Lovely to see you all and shaking your hands in a variety of different ways made the rain more bearable. Lucy the sweet pigtailed girl was very kind to me and called me 'funny man' at least 20 times! Her granny was a pleasure to dance with too, what a nifty little footer she was! Rain what rain?

October 2009

Well how exciting! Performing at The Wharf Theatre in Tavistock was a blast! 300 people turned up all dressed up to the nines or should I say neufs! Many customers enjoyed the extra dressing up I gave them as 'Claude the artist', especially the men who wore the feather boas!! I enjoyed being on stage as I danced with the Jazz Singer Becky Brine and I am sure crowd of the 'Rock and Roll circus' enjoyed my many bouncing ping pong balls....

September 2009

Ah, the amazing ACOUSTICA festival held in Exeter at the Phoenix Art Centre. My serving seemed to make many people happy, one woman seemed to really enjoy her chocolate on a plate (though it did take a while for her to eat it with a plastic knife and fork) and the accompanying Accordion music went down well with her too. A table of guests from my home town, Paris, were over the moon to see a fellow frenchman using his artistic talents upon a table of English musicians. Acoustica festival can be looked at here..http://www.acousticafestival.co.uk/

August 2009

I went on Holiday twice this month camping. Both times were horrendous.I think I have trenchfoot because of the rain and the winds blew my tent away leaving me in nothing but my red thermals and my Papa's old Tintin pillow.

July 2009

Claws the lobster is new to the act as are the bogus raffle tickets, bound to confuse and amuse clients at the same time. The stack of cups and wine gag has been honed to perfection now and I even have a dressing up case for discos , YMCA anyone? Or maybe Sir or Madame would care to dress up in a silly fashion at your dinner table?

June 2009

The Dream-a-way charity summer Ball was a laugh again this year. The Mayor of Exeter and his friends were at the event and I had fun playing accordion at them and then passing it on for the Mayor to play himself! I also found a small pot of gel, so I popped it on a silver serving tray - not knowing what was going to happen I offered it out and blow me, a victim, sorry, a customer from EVERY table wanted their hair styled by Claude! Fantastic crowd and a very fun night!

May 2009

I had fun at the Rock 'n' Roll circus at The Phoenix in Exeter in May. The Cabaret night was put on by a rock band called 'The Adventures Of....' It was fun playing with the crowd then accidentally performing on stage twice with Becky Brine - Jazz singer and Lola Fuego (Burlesque dancer) One of these can be seen on youtube. Just try this link for a look!

Norwich Festival - Well, what can be said of this amazing event? The performance was to be in a spiegel tent. This is a wooden tent-shaped building big enough to hold a stage and a bar and 200 people, small cosy booths with victorian stained glass windows and a large dancing area. The folks of Norwich all dressed up beautifully and seemed to enjoy my idiocy and I enjoyed pushing my performance to the maximum , finding new gags and silliness as I went. Thanks go to Trist and Helen for organising the whole event.Pictures of the event can be seen here:
